2025-2026 Academic Year Summer Term Internship Program Applications Have Started!

Our center will accept interns to be assigned for 20 working days between 13 July and 10 August 2026.
Those who want to work as interns at our center are expected to
- Be sensitive to gender equality and interested in gender studies and discussions,
- Undergraduate or graduate student,
- Have completed at least the first two years of their undergraduate education,
- Have not previously interned at the center, and
- Be able to regularly participate in studies online or face-to-face for 20 working days.
The studies to be carried out during the internship process are as follows:
1. Gendered Aspects of Caregiving in Transnational Families Study
In this study, a comprehensive literature review will be conducted, and relevant themes will be structured, focusing on the gendered aspects of caregiving in transnational families. Applicants are preferred to be an undergraduate student and have an interest in the relation between migration and gender.
2. Gastronomy on Social Media Study
In this study, a netnographic research will be conducted in the field of gastronomy. Within the scope of the research, TikTok and Instagram accounts will be identified, and relevant visuals and comments will be compiled. It is a primary reason for preference for applicants to be undergraduate/graduate students or graduates in the fields of anthropology, sociology, or communication; to have familiarity with TikTok and Instagram platforms; and to have an interest in the subject of gastronomy.
3. Equality Academy Study
In this study, activities will be carried out within the Equality Academy—implemented by our center under the "Strong Civil Space for Gender Equality” Phase II, which is funded by the European Union and conducted by UN Women Turkey. Accordingly, various efforts will be carried out for the establishment of the Digital Library and for delivering the academy events to wider audiences.
The internship will be conducted in a hybrid format (face-to-face or online) with interns residing in Ankara and online with interns outside Ankara. If you want to apply, you can send us your letter of intent explaining why you are interested in the internship at our center, the field of study you want to be involved in (please specify only one study), and your expectations for the internship experience. The letter of intent must be submitted as a Word or PDF file.
