Internship Announcement

Our center will accept interns to be assigned for 20 working days between 21 July and 15 August 2025.

Those who want to work as interns at our center are expected to

  • Be sensitive to gender equality and interested in gender studies and discussions,
  • Undergraduate or graduate student or graduate,
  • Have completed at least the first two years of their undergraduate education,
  • Have not previously interned at the center, and
  • Be able to regularly participate in studies online or face-to-face for 20 working days.

 

The studies to be carried out during the internship process are as follows:

1. Study on the INCEL Movement in Turkey

In this study, the most active and followed INCEL-related YouTube channels will be identified, and comments on videos from the most preferred channel will be compiled and analyzed. Preference will be given to applicants who are proficient YouTube users, have read about INCEL-Manosphere culture, and possess good time management skills and motivation for thematic analysis.

2. Study on Feminist Art and Architectural History

This study will involve an examination of women-centered art and architectural history, with the preparation of photographs and descriptions of relevant works. Preference will be given to undergraduate or graduate students in art history, archaeology, and/or architecture who have a good command of English.

3. Work-Life Balance and Childcare Study

This study will contribute to research on work-life balance and childcare, including summarizing selected academic sources and preparing short reports when necessary. Regardless of academic discipline, the study is open to anyone who meets the general requirements of the program and can support literature review and reporting processes. Preference will be given to applicants who has interest in care work, childcare, gender, and relevant social science fields.

4. Ecosystem Mapping Study

In this study, an institutional ecosystem map will be created to establish connections among the center’s stakeholders and networks. Preference will be given to graduate students who can provide technical and content support in network and ecosystem mapping.

5. International Relations Theories and Gender Study

This study will involve a literature review on international relations theories and gender, and a survey will be developed specific to the Turkish context. Preference will be given to undergraduate students who have taken courses on international relations theories and gender, have experience in survey design, and are suitable for online work.

6. Critical Motherhood Literature Review and Readings Study

This study will involve literature review, reading, discussion, summarizing, and reporting on critical motherhood. Regardless of academic discipline, the study is open to anyone who meets the general requirements of the program. Preference will be given to those with a good command of English.

 

The internship will be conducted hybrid (face-to-face or online) with interns residing in Ankara and online with interns outside Ankara. If you want to apply, you can send us your letter of intent explaining why you are interested in the internship at our center, the field of study you want to be involved in (please specify only one study), and your expectations from the internship experience. The letter of intent must be submitted as a Word or PDF file.
