Our center will accept interns to be assigned for 20 working days between 18 July and 12 August 2022.
Those who want to work as interns at our center are expected to
- Be sensitive to gender equality and interested in gender studies and discussions and
- Have completed at least the first two years of their undergraduate education.
The studies to be carried out during the internship process are as follows:
1. Content Research of the Courses on Gender Equality:
- For this study, it will be preferable to have graduated from any department of communication faculties or sociology department, to be a graduate student in any field of social sciences, to have gender awareness, and to have taken basic courses on this subject or read basic works.
2. Study of the Women’s Movement in Turkey:
- Since our academic member who will carry out this study will reside in İzmir between the dates of the internship, it will be preferable if the internship candidate lives in İzmir or its districts.
3. Study of Education and Gender:
- For this study, it will be preferable to be from the field of social sciences, have a good command of English, and want to study the relationship between education and gender.
4. Study of the Political Life of Turkey and Gender:
- For this study, it will be preferable to be a student in Political Science or Political Science and International Relations departments and be interested in Turkish political life.
5. Study of Family and Gender
- For this study, it will be preferable to be interested in family and gender and want to study this subject.
6. Translation Studies:
- For this study group, it will be preferable to be a student or graduate from the English Translation and Interpreting departments.
The internship process will be conducted hybrid (face-to-face and online) with interns residing in Ankara and online with interns residing outside Ankara. If you want to apply, you can send us your letter of intent explaining the reasons for the internship at our center, the field of study you want to be involved in, and your expectations from the internship process.
