Internship Announcement

Our center will accept interns to be assigned for 20 working days between 22 July and 16 August 2024.

Those who want to work as interns at our center are expected to

-Be sensitive to gender equality and interested in gender studies and discussions,

-Have completed at least the first two years of their undergraduate education and

-Be able to regularly participate in studies online or face-to-face for 20 working days.

 

The studies to be carried out during the internship process are as follows:

Study on Gender-Related Activities in the Field of International Relations

  • The study will focus on analyzing presentations about gender in international relations conferences. To conduct this research, we prefer someone who can perform literature reviews and content analysis, resides in İzmir, and, if possible, is a graduate student.

Monitoring and Evaluation Study on Gender Equality Plans

  • In this study, we will conduct monitoring and evaluation of universities’ Gender Equality Plans (GEP). Proficiency in Excel is preferred for this study.

Study on Creating a Website about Gender Issues

  • The study will focus on designing a website centered around gender equality and rights advocacy. To participate in this study, we prefer candidates who are in their 3rd or 4th year of graduate studies in the Graphic Design or Visual Communication Design Departments, have experience in website preparation and knowledge of relevant technical programs, and are fluent in English.

Aging and Gender Project

  • For this study, we are looking for interns to assist with digging and analyzing current national and international data on the intersection of aging and gender. We prefer 3rd and 4th year students from the disciplines of sociology, psychology, social work, statistics, or alike with the knowledge of basic analysis and visualization of data. Additionally, we are looking for another intern, regardless of their discipline, to review national and international documents, institutional reports, and plans that focus on the intersection of aging and gender.

 

The internship will be conducted hybrid (face-to-face or online) with interns residing in Ankara and online with interns outside Ankara. If you want to apply, you can send us your letter of intent explaining why you are interested in the internship at our center, the field of study you want to be involved in (please specify only one study), and your expectations from the internship experience. The letter of intent must be submitted as a Word or PDF file.
